VOL.iii

The artistic practices of Giannis Delagrammatikas focus on the cultural and political expressions that have shaped the modern era. Employing an interrogative form of suspicion as his interpretative medium, he seeks subjectivity in the apparently stable structures which create the terms and conditions that give birth to all things new. In this particular case, suspicion is perceived as a maneuver, a diversion, a window to enlarge our perception of the present.
Using interdisciplinary practices and tools from archaeology, historiography and philosophy, and employing a wide range of means installations, texts, archives, photography, drawings, prints, videos, sound he collects, records, associates and redistributes ideas, objects and images.
Part of the artistic activity of Giannis Delagrammatikas can be seen in collective ventures such as the creation and activation of the artist-run group Campus Novel, which explores the archaeology of modern as a retrospective practice seeking new signifiers through participatory and relational approaches.
